The Small Western Dark Hendrickson is the Serratella tibialis mayfly and sometimes are referred to as the Little Dark Hendersons. Depending on the weather they emerge (hatch) from noon to mid-afternoon with the spinner fall occurring late in the day or evening.

The nymphs move to the calmer areas of the stream to hatch in the surface skim of the calmer sections of water or pocket water. The Small Western Dark Hendrickson emerging nymphs with trailing shucks are effective when fished during the actual hatch.

Presentation:
