Fly Fishing Georgia: A No Nonsense Guide To Top Waters

Sat, 03/28/2009 - 09:32 -- jmaslar

Outdoor writer and photographer David Cannon has recently written his first book "Fly Fishing Georgia: A No Nonsense Guide To Top Waters". It covers the best of Georgia fisheries, from tiny brook trout streams to warm-and coldwater rivers to large reservoirs filled with hungry largemouths and stripers to Colonial Coast. Lovers of the Chattahoochee River will be pleased to learn about 15 fisheries that are part of the Chattahoochee; either on the main river itself, a tributary of it or an impoundment on it. 160 color pages include 27 full-page maps and over 150 color photos along with artwork from four of Georgia's finest sporting artists. The book will be available in late spring at fine retailers and fly shops across the state.  This is an exerpt from River Through Atlanta the Chattahoochee River Guide Service by Chris Scalley.  For more fascinating infrormation about the "Hooch", as the Chattahoochee River is known, go to Troutu's "Guides and Outfitters" and click on River Through Atlanta.
