In Ferbrary, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources will start releasing Rainbow and Brown Trout in streams and lakes across the entire State. As the stocking continues through the summer a total of 335,000 trout will be released.
The Fly Fishing Show will be brought to Winston-Salem. NC on Friday Feb 7 and Saturday Feb 8. This Carolina fresh and saltwater fishing show will be held in the Benton Convention Center at 301 West Fifth Street, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The show schedule is as follows: Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The admission price is only $15 for one day or $25 for both days which is very reasonable considering the free parking.

In cold water streams, sculpins are bottom feeding fish that are difficult to see. There are about 300 species of them, the largest of which grow to about two feet long. Most of them are found in shallow sea waters and others, such as the miller’s-thumb (Cottus gobio), inhabit freshwater. They generally are a mottled brown in color and grow to about four inches long.
